Getting Started

Click Play to start the engine. A 7.83 Hz Schumann track loads by default. Add tracks in Oscillators, pick any frequency from the Library, watch the Chladni field respond. Headphones required for binaural and HRTF effects.

Display Interface Bar

Play/Pause Starts/stops all oscillator tracks. Fullscreen Expands the Chladni field — Escape to exit. Input Field Routes live mic into the field. Master FX Global effects chain. Visuals Show/hide the display. Volume Master output level.

Display Modes

Chladni Real-time spring-mesh resonance (Ernst Chladni, 1787). Visual Controls apply here only.

Lissajous L vs R channel phase plot. Shape Presets bar appears when active — click a preset to auto-configure two tracks at a frequency ratio (Circle 1:1, Figure 8 1:2, Trefoil 2:3, etc.).

Spectrum Real-time FFT, mirrored at centre — bass in the middle, treble at edges.

Waveform Zero-crossing locked oscilloscope. Flat line when silent.

Grid and Labels are buttons in the display bar — not keyboard shortcuts.

Visual Controls (Chladni only)

Palette 10 built-in + Rainbow + Custom colour picker.

Quality Draft (1-tap) · Standard (5-tap) · High (9-tap GPU shader sampling).

Bloom Glow around nodal lines + Bloom Radius. Breathe Speed & Depth — pulsing brightness animation.

Brightness Nodal Width Frequency Tint Persistence Trail length (0=off). Sensitivity How strongly the field responds to audio.

Oscillators

Hz Type or use the slider. Range 0–20,000 Hz.

Waveforms Sine · Triangle · Square · Sawtooth · Bell · Fork · Organ.

Binaural Splits to L/R with configurable Hz offset for brainwave entrainment. Sweep oscillates the offset over 2–120 s.

Volume Per-track level. Toggle ◼/▶ Enable/disable without removing. Stereo Split ⇄ Mirrors pan.

Thumbnail Live mini Chladni per track. ● show/hide, ⛶ fullscreen. Up to 13 tracks total.

Synth Engine (per track — click Synth button)

Detune ±100¢ fine tune. Envelope ADSR. Filter LP/HP/BP/Notch with Cutoff and Resonance.

LFO 0.01–20 Hz modulating Amplitude, Filter, or Pitch. Portamento Glide time between frequency changes. All update live.

Track FX (click FX button on track)

Compress · Delay Time & Mix · LP Cutoff · Reverb Tail & Mix. Dynamics None/Pulse/Swell/Tremolo with Rate and Depth.

Spatial Audio — HRTF 3D

Drag pad: X=left/right, Z=front/back. Elev slider = vertical Y axis. Web Audio HRTF PannerNode — full 3D with headphones. Center resets to origin.

Master FX

Global chain across the full mix: Compress · Delay Time & Mix · LP Cutoff · Reverb Tail & Mix. Toggle on/off without resetting knob values.

Routes live mic into the Chladni field. Chain: HPF → Drive → LPF → Reverb. Noise gate (Threshold, Attack, Hold, Release, Sensitivity) blocks background noise.

Click any entry to apply to the active track (creates one if needed). Periodic Table uses f(Z)=16 Hz×2^(Z−1)/12. Aether (Æ) at 7.83 Hz.

Output Calibration [Experimental]

Mic pitch detection vs active oscillator. Delta display in cents. Auto-tune corrects oscillator or synth detune toward detected output. Noise gate: Hold, Smoothing, Threshold.

Name a session and click Save to store all tracks, FX, synth, and visual settings to localStorage. Click a name to restore, × to delete.

Output Calibration Off

How Output Calibration Works EXPERIMENTAL

1Set a single oscillator to your target frequency — one tone is all you need.

2Enable the microphone and hold it near your speaker at a comfortable listening level.

3The analyser detects the fundamental pitch your speaker is actually producing and shows any drift.

4Enable Auto-Tune to have the oscillator correct itself to the detected output in real time.

Speakers, room acoustics, and audio hardware can shift a tone from its intended frequency — especially at very low (sub-bass) or very high frequencies. This tool confirms that what your hardware is reproducing matches what you set, and optionally locks the oscillator to the verified real-world output.
